My inspiration? The adorable red crystal Hershey kisses!
When I purchased the crystal Kisses a couple of years ago, I could hardly wait to do a tablescape with them. I wanted it to be just right! There is a surprise under each crystal kiss. Each white heart salad plate has "Hugs and Kisses" embossed on them. So of course I had to use them for this tablescape. I had a lot of fun designing this table. Can't wait to share it with my family.. That is who will be dining with me this time.
If you click on the photo it will enlarge and you can get a closer look at the details...
With love and hugs and kisses for my guests. I can't wait to share this table with them!
Each place setting has the adorable large red crystal Hershey Kiss. Filled with Hershey's hugs and kisses chocolate candy. The lid lifts off so you can fill with whatever treat you would like.
I really thought the Red Crystal was quite beautiful. The "Kiss" is made in a clear crystal as well.
The centerpiece below is a large very heavy crystal Heart Vase. It is 2 pieces. The romantic phrase two hearts make a whole has been used by me to describe this vase. Purchased from the Martha Stewart by Mail catalog. I purchased all she had left when the catalog closed and sold them. I kept 2 for myself... Photo below shows the vase without flowers.
The flowers look so striking in this vase. What a great modern design. Vase made in Poland, renowned for their glass work.
I used a red heart shaped wreath that fit around the base of the vase. The vase is sitting on one of my porcelain charger plates.
Wrapping red velvet flocked heart ribbon around the doubled gold and white napkins.
Views of the plate stack. With a view of each individual plate used.
This adorable hugs and kisses embossed plate along with the crystal Hershey kiss were the inspiration for this table.
The red plate was a new purchase this year. From Kohl's. I thought the design on the rim mimicked the scallop of the top of a heart.
At the bottom of the stock is a clear view of the porcelain charger plate with a gold beaded placemat. The tablecloth is red burlap. I wanted to make this table both casual and sophisticated, and welcoming.
I will be posting this on Tablescape Thursday @ Between Naps on the Porch. A Great Blog!
Thanks for looking! I love comments, so please leave one.

This table is so pretty. How gorgeous that floral centerpiece is! Your plate stack is so pretty, and those chargers are wonderful. I'd probably eat all of the kisses before dinner was served. Such a pretty Kiss container. laurie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table, lovely centerpiece, but my favorite things are those red crystal kisses...to die for! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love this table!! Your dish stack is lovely: each level has its own personality: love those red scalloped dishes and inscribed heart plates, but my favorite is your "kiss crystal dishes": wherever did you find them? They would make a Valentine's dinner very special!! Thanks for sharing. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie!
ReplyDeleteI love your tablescape! I purchased several of the clear Hershey's kiss crystal dishes for wedding gifts for acquaintances but I haven't seen them in red! I love, love what you've done with them!
I love celebrating Valentine's Day - last year, I made a beautiful cake - not sure what I'm going to do this year!
