A Fleur de Lys Picnic Tablescape

A little outdoor Al Fresco picnic.  With a touch of France.  From the Paris Flea Market salad plates to the Fleur de Lys chargers and flatware.  A fun time for two!
If you click on the photo's they will enlarge for a more enhanced view.

The pewter flatware even has a fleur de lys (lily) design on the handle, which we associate with being French inspired.

Some Star Gazer lilies from Pier 1.  They look so real, don't you think?  Have you ever had the experience of getting the pollen from a lily on you or your clothing?   Most florist's remove the pollen in their arrangements.  I "stuck" my nose in an arrangement at a Disney Hotel and the pollen was front and center all day.  My nose was a beacon of yellow gold.  Loud and proud!

My deep pink goblet has the fleur de lys as well.  I bought them after Easter at Pottery Barn a few years ago.  I always planned to use them for  a Halloween table to match a tablecloth I had.  Something a little different for that holiday for sure.  PB probably had 100 or more left over and was closing them out at .99 cents each.  I thought that was an amazing price.  I just purchased 8, now I wish I had bought more.

The salad plate is called Paris Flea Market.  They come in a set of 4 and each plate has a different design.  They are melamine as well.  Great for indoors or out!

Sparkling pink lemonade.  Made in France and  purchased at Home Goods.  You never know what you will find at Home Goods.  We have 3 Home Goods within easy driving distance of my house.  There is a new Home Goods store opening in October, which will be about 10 minutes away.

BACKYARD MOVIE NIGHT

We are having a movie night outside tonight!  What fun!

We have access to a large outdoor screen and are going to watch Zootopia.  Getting ready and watching with friends and family is half the fun.  We'll just gather up the outdoor chairs, benches, double porch swing and cozy up together.  As soon as the sun sets we will start.  Can't wait!

                                    Lots of goodies to share!

We are enjoying our new drink holder.  I found it at my favorite pharmacy/gift shop.  This was the small one.  They have two larger sizes.

Some organic lemons to slice and add to the lemon drinks or water.

I made a couple of windmills.  I haven't made them since elementary school.

Someone is bringing a little fryer so we will make the Churro's and Funnel cakes.  I especially love the funnel cakes.  The best I have ever had was in Knott's Berry Farm.  They pour their own Boysenberry syrup over the top.

Some special lemon-amaretto cookies from Home Goods.

Our popcorn popper with lots of toppings and add-ins.

I filled a little yellow lunch box with white and yellow (vanilla & lemon) salt water taffy.

I placed some little dampened washcloth's for finger towels in a little yellow ceramic berry box.

I have had these heavy-weight plastic plates for years.  They can even hold a large steak and won't flex when cutting.

The 5 popcorn flavors which you just sprinkle on are Ranch, Nacho Cheese, Butter, Garlic Parmesan, & White Cheddar.  I have provided additional salt, plus caramel, white, and dark chocolate chips.  They are great mix-ins for hot buttered popcorn.

Underneath the table are ice cold water bottles in a tub with a couple of blankets in a tote.  It will cool off at night.  Right now it has been about 100 degrees for a couple of weeks and will be for the next 6 days or so.  The humidity is from 0% to 10%.

These cute powdered drink mixes I found at a Home Goods while on vacation.  The flavors are called Raspberry Lemonade, Amazing Lime Lemonade, and Strong Lemon Lemonade.

Our last little treat is some twisted red pull-apart licorice.

Ready set go!  It is getting dark and the movie is about to start.
